Don’t Quit, advice I have to keep repeating to myself

I have to read and re-read this wonderfully inspiring poem, especially on days like today, when I am feeling so combatted, so defeated and tired.

Don’t Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about

When he might have won had he stuck it out;

Don’t give up though the pace seems slow–

You may succeed with another blow,

Success is failure turned inside out–

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems so far;

So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit–

It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.Edgar A. Guest

That gets me out of my pity party and up again. something I need once again, as it seems efforts to grow the Good Boy Roy business and brand are going nowhere fast. Retailers aren’t buring up our phone line placing orders. Disney hasn’t requested that Zack be their newest cartoonist, and sales are less than desirable. Yet I know, I believe with every ounce in me that we can and will make all of Zack’s dreams come true for this business. His future depends on it. So, pity parties do not last long. Someday, someone will see his wonderfully fun characters and have the same belief we do…this is something. It will happen. It will come true. It will be awesome.
